How Gusto helped brand the sustainability playbook for global CEOs
Onion layers of wisdom
"A playbook for leaders. A beacon for changemakers. And proof that the next great business opportunity sits exactly where sustainability meets courage."
Our goals
Gamechangers arrived at the exact moment the sustainability conversation needed a reset, post-ESG backlash, mid-US policy reversal, with boardrooms suddenly wondering if going green was going backwards. This book said: no. It showed the ways. And it looked beautiful doing it.
What we thought
A book this serious deserved a design language to match.
Our goals
Gusto created a book cover design that communicates authority before a single page is read. No generic sustainability codes. No tired leaf imagery.
Make it look like the kind of book a CEO keeps on their desk. The acknowledgements in the book say it best: "Wordplay, elegance and style."
It is in the details
Because Gamechangers launched with a physical live event, we built the visual system that travels from print to screen to stage. The cover mark, typographic palette, colour language, and book website were all designed to hold together whether the authors are speaking from a stage or someone is discovering the book online for the first time.

The Result
An identity strong enough that the book's visual language became inseparable from its argument. When you see the cover, you already know this isn't a book that softens the edges. That is what design can do: to tell the truth before the words do.
What we made them feel
"Gusto & Oomph team, you designed the most beautiful book cover and book website we could hope for. With wordplay, elegance and style."
Social Media
The authors set out to interview global CEOs and changemakers from IKEA foundation, Virgin Unite, Patagonia Provisions, Asahi Group and even Hollywood. You won’t read those interviews in the press releases, company websites or news. Because these are honest personal talks, with those who can impact change on much bigger scale.
Clients review
The team designed the most beautiful book cover and book website we could hope for. With wordplay, elegance and style.
